Following great form in the first half of the MotoGP year, confirmed by an excellent stage finish at Donington Park,
Randy de Puniet will be ready to go for the preparation at the Cardion AB Czech Republic Grand Prix, even though he endured
an ankle injury on the weekend following the event in the UK.
The Frenchman was in training to keep his fitness
levels up in France over the short break when he claimed a smash which fractured his left ankle, however a short surgical
procedure and some tough rehabilitation has seen him recover quite quickly. The satellite Honda rider will now be prepared
to compete again at Brno on Friday, much to the joy of his staff and fans.
Explaining on the occurrence prior to
round eleven De Puniet says, “Immediately after the surgery I was unsure about things and thought I would have not been
able to race in Brno. But thanks to the rehabilitation programme my ankle is improving day by day. I can easily move it and
I will be fit for the race. Brno is one of my favourite race tracks and the good results we have got in the first part of
the season give us more motivation to be at the front.”
